AYSO EPIC (formerly called VIP) is a specialized program created to provide a safe, fun, and inclusive soccer experience for players with physical or intellectual disabilities. The goal of EPIC is to ensure that every player, regardless of ability, has the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful game in an environment tailored to their unique needs. Whether a player needs extra time, support on the field, or modifications to the rules, we work together to make soccer accessible, rewarding, and joyful.

*The program cost covers the National Fee.

EPIC Buddy (Formerly VIP) No soccer experience is required! You’ll be paired with a player on the field to provide encouragement, guidance, and help as needed, helping them stay safe, engaged, and included in the game.

About EPIC
Launched in 1991, AYSO's original "VIP" Program was established to give players with intellectual and physical challenges, the opportunity to play and enjoy the beautiful game of soccer. Recently rebranded to EPIC (Everyone Plays In our Community), it is designed to remind AYSO members and the surrounding community that AYSO is a place that everyone can play, no matter your ability.

EPIC's Mission
To provide athletes with disabilities the additional support they need to fully participate in a quality soccer experience. The ultimate goal of the AYSO EPIC Program is to provide a holistic AYSO experience for players, families, and volunteers--from team uniforms, to playing on a team, to cheering from the sidelines, for all participants.

What is an EPIC Buddy?
Buddies are trained volunteers who assist players during games in which players learn soccer while meeting new friends, having fun, and increasing skills and self-esteem. Players and their families, along with our volunteers, enjoy the complete AYSO experience - team uniforms, scoring goals, cheering from the sidelines, and beyond! The vision of the AYSO EPIC Program is to maximize opportunities for EPIC player participation.

Where and When Does EPIC Play?
Region 272's new EPIC Program will play every Saturday when the Core AYSO games are taking place. Starting in the Fall of 2025, EPIC will have a section of Gallegos Park dedicated to EPIC Players and our EPIC Volunteers.
